14-Feb-12	Feb. 10,11,12 of 2012  Teeland won another wrestling tournament.  This one had 5 teams from Fairbanks in it.  We are now the team to beat at the State Tournament.  I pulled all my traps Sunday.  The only thing I got was 3 weasels but I did see several Lynx tracks so there is some seed for next winter.  My wrestling season has 3 more weeks then spring beaver trapping, black bear hunting and then king salmon season.  The good news is there is only 11 weeks of school left......not that I am counting. 06-Feb-12	February 3-5  Justin did not have a good State tournament.  He lost both matches.  Justin did have a great season though.  He won more matches than he lost and all of his losses but two were to seniors.  remember Justin is only a 10th grader.  I caught 2 more lynx this weekend and I will pull all of my traps the 12th of Feb.  Dont let the new king regs scare you off.....those catch and release days might be a lot of fun and you will get 6 hours of fishing in!!   Bill Booth
03-Feb-12	King Salmon regs 2012 Well, I hear there will be some changes to the king salmon regs this summer in the Matsu Valley.  Once they are posted I will update here.  Expect reduced bag limits and several days of catch and release only on some rivers. Bill Booth
01-Feb-12	Kashwitna River  For those of you looking for somthing different I would look into fishing the Kashwitna river just north of Willow.  If you have your own boat backtroll with your motor just like you would on the Little Su.  It is a swift river and paddling will not work.  If you are looking for a guided trip I will run some trips up there the 2nd 1/2 of June.  Some of that time it is weekends only so we will be fishing the same holes as other boats at times so you can't be shy.  Of course the Little Su and Lake Creek trips will still be provided. 30-Jan-12	January 27-28  It was a great weekend for wrestling and trapping.  My son Justin place 4th at the confrence tournament.  Both the matches he lost were to seniors.  He will wrestle in the state tournament this weekend.  My Teeland team won again this weekend...not even close really.  I am lucky with the boys I have wrestling for me.  I got another lynx and a fox in traps.  I also shot a coyote.  A lone wolf missed several of my traps.  Maybe next time.   Bill
24-Jan-12	January 1-24  Been a very busy month so far.  The trapping has gone well.  I have caught several more lynx and fox.  lost a wolverine and had some close calls with a couple of wolves.  Justin has been wrestling, winning more than not.  His confrnce tournament is this weekend in kodiak.  If he qualifies the state tournament is the 3rd and 4th of Feb.  My Middle School season is going well.  We one the 1st tournament of the season by a huge margin.  Teeland hosts a tournament this weekend.
